Giving Vulnerable Girls a Brighter Future

At Girls Be Girls, we believe empowering girls and young women with educational opportunities, securing their health and teaching them their human rights is one of the best investments we could make for our children, communities, and the country at large.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help young girls to become educated, healthy, safe, counted and positioned to be the next

Activities

Through school tours distributing our human rights and anti-drug curriculum, and skills training offering girls a better future, our focus is to foster change in practice and policy at local, national, and the global level through our experience, and knowledge of the realities children face in today's society.

We ensure links between fulfilling children’s rights, achieving gender equality, and ending girl discrimination. Every girl and boy has the right to be healthy, educated, protected, valued, and respected in their own community and beyond. We support these rights from birth to

adulthood, working to ensure that girls and boys know their rights and have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to fulfill them. This approach inspires and empowers children and communities to create long-lasting change.

We are quite aware of the fact that the changes we bring about in children’s lives would not be possible without our friends: people of goodwill, donors, and partners who want to empower children and give them strength. Please continue working with us, for without you, our efforts

would not be so effective and efficient.

Children must have hope for the future and see possibilities for themselves beyond their circumstances. We believe confidence grows as children develop leadership skills, understanding social responsibility and take an active role in their community. When you make a gift to our empowerment programs, you are supporting life-changing initiatives that build teamwork and encourage children to make an everlasting impact.

Testimonials

"The work GBGNM does is vital! We have been lucky enough to see great changes in Sierra Leone through their work, including the passing of legislation to make child brides illegal in this country."

Ben Nadler

"As a busy parent I often do not have time to volunteer locally. Giving donations to GBGNM gives me a sense of purpose, knowing those funds go directly to vulnerable girls in need."
